About the festival
The aim of the "Kameralne Lato" festival is to promote young Polish cinema as well as to develop good social standards, to encourage young people to participate in film culture and social prevention.
The Main Competition presents the best Polish short films produced by young artists - mostly students and film school graduates. The pre-selection effort will pick out the best animated, documentary and feature films. The jury will award the main prize - GOLD BROWN for best film and special prizes. The professional film competition has a clear profile - films (primarily feature films and documentaries) focus on important social issues.
Important part of the festival are workshops, aimed at young people, students and people starting their professional careers, under the care of experienced filmmakers. For the organizers, workshops are more than film education - it expresses faith in the social function of art.
